This is an ongoing project that is creating a layer of virtual drawings around the earth following the movement of the artist wherever he might be. The artist's movement becomes the drawing. Creating his own air, sea and land paths by using nature as canvas. Also, for the plot the artist can take advantage of highways, lake contours, seashores, rivers, etc. Using global technologies such as Internet and GPS (Global Positioning System) that allows a very precise register of the paths into visible shapes, a series of large scale virtual drawings, measuring several miles in size are being made.

 

The main concepts of the project are:

• the movement as plot
• nature as canvas
• its global character

The progress of the project can be appreciated in real time by data transmitted from their points of origin to museum and gallery spaces to be seen in computer screens or transfered via plotters into prints. In this site you can watch the development and the final graphics of the plots; the project will reach climax at 24:00 hs. of December 31, 1999.
